How to send files via FTP

Files can be sent to the Pixel Graphics ftp site, or any other ftp site by using either Windows Explorer, your web browser or ftp client software package.

To use Windows Explorer complete the following proceedure.
1. Open My Computer.
2. type in the URL of the ftp site (ex. ftp.pixelgraphicsnj.com).
3. You will be shown a window asking for the user name and password for the ftp site, which would have been provided by the site host. Type in the username and password and click Log on. You will be taken to the folder provided by the host of the ftp site. You can drag and drop files from the folder to your computer or from your computer to the ftp folder.

To use Internet Explorer 7 or 8 complete the following proceedure.
1. Open IE 7 or 8.
2. type in the URL of the ftp site (ex. ftp.pixelgraphicsnj.com).
3. Drop down the Page menu (located on the top right) and click Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer.
4. You will be shown a window asking for the user name and password for the ftp site, which would have been provided by the site host. Type in the username and password and click Log on. You will be taken to the folder provided by the host of the ftp site. You can drag and drop files from the folder to your computer or from your computer to the ftp folder.

To use Firefox complete the following proceedure.
1. Open Firefox 3.0 or later.
2. type in the URL of the ftp site (ex. ftp.pixelgraphicsnj.com).
3. You will be shown a window asking for the user name and password for the ftp site, which would have been provided by the site host. Type in the username and password and click OK. You will be taken to the folder provided by the host of the ftp site.
4. Select the file you wish to download, right mouse click and select Save link as. Browse to the save location and click Save. Note: without add-ons only individual files can be downloaded.
